British Prime Minister Keir Starmer's chief of staff Morgan McSweeney has resigned.
It comes after mounting pressure over Starmer's appointment of Peter Mandelson as ambassador to the US despite ties to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
McSweeney has called the decision “wrong” and says it has not only “damaged” the ruling Labour Party but also the country.
