The Syrian army is in the process of securing Aleppo after a ceasefire deal ended five days of battles with Kurdish fighters.
The government says it's working to remove explosive devices and has uncovered weapons caches.
A ministry statement said a vehicle rigged with mortar shells and kamikaze drones was among the weapons.
People returning to neighbourhoods, including Sheikh Maqsoud, found burnt out vehicles and buildings still smouldering from the fighting.
Fighters from the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) who withdrew from Aleppo, have been arriving in their stronghold of Hasakah in the northeast.
Al Jazeera’s Bernard Smith is in Aleppo for the latest updates and Ayman Oghanna is following developments in the Syrian capital Damascus.
