Syrian Bedouin communities, known for their nomadic lifestyle and animal herding, are facing unprecedented challenges to their traditional way of life.
Years of civil war, climate change, and economic pressures have forced many to abandon their ancestral practices and settle in villages or cities.
The Mawali clan, grazing their sheep near Aleppo, exemplifies the difficulties these communities face, including rising food and fodder costs, as well as inadequate shelter from harsh weather conditions. Despite their crucial role in Syria's agricultural economy, with the country's sheep population estimated at 18 million, many Bedouins believe their traditional lifestyle may soon vanish.

Al Jazeera's Mohamed Vall reports from Aleppo, Syria.
